MINT’s growth was because of how they handle & treat their employees. Everybody is a family with MINT. They believe that a company grows because of the employees working with them. A happy employee would work happily and make things better for the company as well. Their mission includes helping more people and making them feel loved. A happy family always finishes the job right. By adding more and more stores means helping and making more people happy.
MINT’s vision is to expand and become one of the topmost brands in the Philippines by the year 2012. It’s targeting to open and reach a milestone of 50 branches by 2012 and that includes adding at least a couple more branches in the Visayas & Mindanao region. They are targeting to open their first branch overseas by the year 2013 and targeting to be one of the sought after brands in Asia by 2015.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
TO THE PEOPLETo become the ideal trendsetter in fashion by the year 2014. We would want the Filipinos to be in high fashion during this stage wherein it would be hard to distinguish an imported brand from Mint. We will be setting new standards in fashion by introducing clothes that can be worn in public that are usually only seen in fashion shows.
TO THE ENVIRONMENT
We have started this campaign to fight against global warming. Starting 2011, our newly opened and renovated stores will carry 85% LED lights which is more eco-friendly. It saves the stores air conditioning temperature and the electricity usage.
Recycling all possible items which include hangers, packaging and delivery bags are examples of our waste management practice. Millions of plastics are processed each year into other plastic elements. We do not use plastics for our packaging and we have our denim bag for our deliveries.
ENVIRONMENTALLY AWARE STAFF
Our staff are continuously being reminded to achieve our policy by sending continuous reminders and trainings.
We use organic cotton on some of shirts which have specific labels and are easy to spot in our shops. They are free of pesticides, chemicals and bleach.
Our fleet uses bio diesel fuels to transport 500,000 items of clothing a year.
Mint’s business model is characterized by a high degree of vertical integration. It covers all stages of the fashion development: design, manufacture, logistics and distribution in all our stores. It has a flexible structure and a strong customer focus in all its business areas.
The key to this model is the ability to adapt the offer to customer desires in the shortest time possible. For Mint, time is the main factor to be considered, above and beyond production costs. This signifies the clear-cut policy of valuing time even more than money.
Vertical integration enables them to shorten turnaround times and achieve greater flexibility, reducing stock to a minimum and diminishing fashion risk to the greatest possible extent.
Our team of designers, merchandisers & product development people continuously assesses the customers´ preferences, wishes and demands offering each year comprised some 2,000 different styles for sale in our stores. Our wide range of highly experienced external suppliers who have a solid commercial relationship with the format allow Mint to manufacture a model and to have it for sale in its stores nationwide within the average term of approximately two weeks.
Clothes are dispatched twice a week, and this frequency allows a continual renewal of our fashion offer.
